About the Balboa 20

The Balboa 20 is Duffy's modern 20-foot electric harbour cruiser, built for slow social trips rather than high-speed transport. Its 20-foot-4-inch hull carries up to eleven adults beneath a full fiberglass hardtop and window enclosure. A 48 V brushless motor drives Duffy's Power Rudder system, which combines propulsion and steering for tight low-speed manoeuvres. Three 48 V lithium batteries, a SmartPlug shore inlet and Victron inverter-charger are standard on the current features sheet. Duffy publishes a six mph maximum, ten hours at cruising speed and four hours at top speed. Expanded interior space, movable tables, storage beneath the seats and a multi-speaker audio system suit dining and conversation on protected harbours and lakes. This is not intended for rough offshore water or long-distance cruising.
