About the Current

The Crest Current is a 20-foot pontoon designed for low-speed electric lake use rather than adapted around a large combustion outboard. For the current model year, Crest lists ePropulsion Navy 3.0 and 6.0 Evo choices, rated at 3 and 6 kW respectively. That corrects the former listing's Mercury Avator claim. The two-tube chassis uses 25-inch pontoons and an L-shaped lounge with integrated storage and a sunpad. Standard equipment includes a Simrad touchscreen GPS, Fusion audio, wireless phone charging, a cooled captain's cup holder, removable table, Bimini, mooring cover and telescoping ladder. Crest does not publish a universal battery, speed or range figure on the current product page, so performance must be matched to the dealer-supplied ePropulsion battery configuration and intended passenger load.

Best For

  • Quiet leisure cruising on speed-restricted lakes
  • Buyers wanting a factory-integrated electric pontoon package

Performance in Context

The current manufacturer page does not support the previous 12 mph and eight-hour figures. Speed and endurance will differ between the 3 and 6 kW motors and depend on battery selection, passenger load, wind and the resistance of pontoon furniture and canvas. Request configuration-specific test data.

Battery and Charging

Crest identifies ePropulsion propulsion but does not state the selected battery capacity or charging time on the model page. Confirm the number and model of batteries, usable energy, charger output, shore connection, warranty and whether charging hardware is included in the dealer quote.

Availability and Pricing

The Current appears in Crest's 2027 range and is sold through the dealer network. No reliable current MSRP is shown, so the former $45,000 figure has been removed. Compare delivered packages that include motor, batteries, chargers, options, freight, preparation and taxes.
