About the EL Series

Ingenity's EL Series is a 23-foot electric day boat built around a spacious lounge rather than a dedicated wake-sports layout. The current range comprises the 63 kWh EL1 and 126 kWh EL2. Ingenity lists 120 kW peak output for the EL1 and 150 kW for the EL2, with both versions rated for ten people and a 25 mph maximum. A 20 mph cruising figure gives useful context, although the advertised operating times of up to seven or fourteen hours apply to favorable low-speed use rather than sustained cruising. The broad 102-inch beam, wraparound seating and configurable tables suit social trips, while connected monitoring, over-the-air updates and CCS charging bring an automotive-style ownership layer. Buyers should choose battery size around their normal route rather than treating the longest runtime as an all-speed range claim.

Best For

  • Quiet social cruising with up to ten people
  • Owners wanting connected controls and optional DC fast charging

Performance in Context

Ingenity publishes 20 mph cruise and 25 mph maximum speed. The up-to-seven-hour EL1 and up-to-fourteen-hour EL2 figures depend heavily on low-speed operation, load and conditions; they are not endurance figures at 20 mph. Ask for a speed-versus-range chart and a demonstration with a representative passenger load.

Battery and Charging

The EL1 uses 63 kWh and the EL2 126 kWh. For the EL2, Ingenity lists about ten hours on 240 V/50 A AC, four hours on 25 kW DC and 1.5 hours on an 80 kW fast charger. EL1 times are approximately five hours, two hours and 45 minutes respectively. CCS capability depends on configuration and local infrastructure.

Availability and Pricing

Ingenity lists a current starting MSRP of $249,000. The final price will depend on battery, trim, charging equipment, transport and commissioning. Confirm whether quoted charging cables and shore-side hardware are included, along with service coverage in the intended boating area.
