About the Navier 27

Navier 27, or N27, was the startup's original electric hydrofoil proposal announced in 2021. The 8.2 m carbon craft was planned in open and enclosed versions, with retractable foils, active flight control and assistive docking. Navier targeted more than 75 nautical miles at a 20-knot cruise by lifting the hull clear of the water and cutting drag dramatically. Lyman-Morse was named to build pre-production boats, but the program evolved into the 30-foot N30 before customer production. Navier's current catalog and company history identify the N30—not the N27—as the platform that entered sea trials, production and customer delivery. This page is therefore retained as historical context rather than a purchasable current boat. Anyone encountering an “N27” sales offer should verify whether it is a prototype, an outdated reservation reference or a mislabeled N30.

Performance in Context

The N27's published targets included more than 75 nautical miles at 20 knots and foiling from roughly 18 knots. Those were development goals, not current production guarantees. The N30 that followed uses a different 30-foot platform and has its own verified range, speed, capacity and charging specification.

Battery and Charging

Early N27 material discussed battery-electric propulsion and fast charging but does not provide a current supported battery specification. The old 50 kWh figure has been removed. Battery service, warranty and replacement assumptions from the current N30 should not be transferred to an N27 prototype or reservation document.

Availability and Pricing

N27 is not listed for sale by Navier. The former US$300,000 starting target dates to the early concept program and is not current pricing. Navier now offers the N30 Pioneer II by invitation, starting at US$850,000 according to its current configurator.
