Roxen is a compact electric personal watercraft developed in Sweden around portability and a removable battery. The craft itself weighs 79 kg and the battery adds 33 kg, allowing the separated components to be carried more easily than a conventional personal watercraft and transported on a suitable roof rack or yacht platform. A 22 kW motor drives the 2.6-metre hull to a claimed 30 knots, with 15 knots identified as an efficient cruise. Roxen lists up to 75 minutes of normal use and as much as 15 nautical miles of range. The 5.25 kWh battery can be swapped without tools and charges from a 230 V outlet. Built-in 4G/LTE, GPS, app monitoring and geofencing let owners or rental operators set riding boundaries and speed limits, track position and receive software updates.
