About the Carve

The Carve was Radinn's smallest, most responsive jetboard, shaped for riders who wanted tighter turns and a more active stance than the larger Freeride or Explore. Its modular system combined a compact board, removable G3 jetpack and a choice of battery programs, while twin fins and optional foot straps supported aggressive riding. The important buying context now is ownership risk: Radinn was declared bankrupt in 2023 and stopped producing boards. Awake later acquired selected assets but explicitly did not take over Radinn's business or liabilities. As a result, the Carve should be treated as a used or remaining-stock product, not as a current manufacturer-backed model. It can still be an entertaining board for a technically confident owner, but availability of batteries, controllers, seals, service knowledge and app-dependent functions should be investigated before purchase.

Performance in Context

Carve performance depended on software and hardware configuration. Contemporary listings put standard setups around 40-44 km/h and upgraded versions as high as 52-60 km/h, with roughly 25 to 45 minutes depending on battery. These are historical claims, not a current factory guarantee; battery age and software access can materially reduce them.

Battery and Charging

Radinn offered several battery programs, including an Extended pack around 3.5 kWh. The user manual identifies a high-capacity 50.4 V lithium-ion pack and stresses correct storage and charging. Any used battery warrants professional inspection. Confirm its serial, usable capacity, charger, connectors and whether replacement parts are realistically obtainable.

Availability and Pricing

Radinn is no longer producing jetboards, and the former US$8,995 entry price is not current. Remaining dealer inventory and used boards may carry seller-specific support only. Price the package according to battery health, controller and charger function, watertight integrity, spare-parts access and whether any promised warranty comes from the seller rather than Radinn.
