About the El-Iseo

El-Iseo is Riva's first production fully electric runabout, translating the brand's polished wood, stainless-steel detailing and automotive-style helm into an 8.35 m open boat. A Parker GVM310 motor drives a conventional stern drive, preserving the handling layout familiar to Riva owners while replacing the combustion engine. The 800 V battery is split into two independent blocks so a fault in one does not disable the entire pack. Three named drive modes—Adagio, Andante and Allegro—manage the balance between efficiency and performance, and the digital dashboard presents propulsion and charging information in an analogue-inspired design. RINA Category B certification is notable for an open runabout of this size, but it does not remove the need for conservative range planning. The six-person layout and premium finish make this a luxury day boat, not a long-distance cruiser.

Performance in Context

Riva states 25 knots at cruise and a self-limited 40-knot maximum from 250 kW continuous and 300 kW peak power. The published 50-nautical-mile figure should be treated as condition dependent; speed, passenger load, sea state and reserve materially affect usable range. Economy mode is intended for much longer low-speed operation.

Battery and Charging

The 150 kWh, 800 V lithium pack supports normal and fast charging. Riva states 20-80% in 75 minutes under the applicable fast-charge setup. Confirm local connector, supply power, charger installation and the battery warranty with the dealer; a marina without suitable high-power service will require longer charging.
