About the 62 3-Deck
Best For
- Liveaboard owners wanting exceptional upper-deck living space
- Ocean cruisers seeking quiet electric operation with backup generation
- Buyers who want a configurable sky lounge or private upper suite
Performance in Context
Silent's current company FAQ describes typical cruising at 6-8 knots and maximum speed around 12 knots for its yacht range. The 62's operating envelope depends on motor and battery selection, displacement and sea state. Its 2023 brochure's twin 50 kW standard motors represent an earlier configuration and should not be assumed for every new build.
Battery and Charging
The platform uses a 16 kWp solar-electric system that Silent estimates can produce roughly 100 kWh per favourable day. An earlier standard brochure lists 143 kWh of lithium storage and a 100 kW diesel generator; current builds may differ. Shore charging, solar yield and the range extender should be assessed together in a passage energy plan.
Availability and Pricing
Silent continues to present the 60/62 family as a current production range, but pricing is by quotation. The old €2.8 million figure is not retained as a current base price. Deck version, propulsion, battery, generator, cabins, finish and delivery location materially affect the contract value.
