About the Arcona 415e

The Arcona 415e is the electric-propulsion version of Arcona's 41.5-foot performance cruiser. Its Oceanvolt ServoProp system uses a 15 kW motor, variable-pitch propeller and a documented 23.2 kWh battery pack. While sailing, the propeller can regenerate energy; Arcona reports that owners have seen regeneration begin around 3.3 knots, although recovered power depends on boat speed and sea conditions. The hull combines twin wheels, an open transom and two- or three-cabin layouts with the stiff steel cradle and vacuum-infused construction associated with the Swedish builder. An important current-market distinction is that the standard 415 product page now lists a Yanmar diesel, while the electric system is described as an upgrade. Buyers seeking the 415e should therefore specify the Oceanvolt package explicitly rather than assume every new 415 is electric.

Performance in Context

Published sailing speed depends on wind and sail plan, while electric motoring endurance depends on throttle. The earlier claim of unlimited range was misleading: hydrogeneration can extend autonomy but cannot guarantee energy balance on every passage. Battery and Charging

The documented electric upgrade uses a 23.2 kWh pack and can recover energy through the ServoProp while sailing. Shore charger size and any generator option vary by build. Confirm AC supply, charging time, usable capacity and isolation requirements with Arcona and Oceanvolt.
