Performance in Context

ePropulsion's published performance table uses a 12-foot aluminium boat carrying one person in calm lake water. At full 1 kW input, that boat reached 6.2 mph for about 75 minutes and covered 7.8 miles. At 250 W it ran at 4.4 mph for five hours and covered 22 miles. The often-advertised 22-mile range therefore represents reduced-power operation, not full throttle. A heavier hull, additional passengers, wind, current or waves will shorten runtime and may also reduce speed.

Battery and Charging

The standard lithium-ion polymer battery stores 1,276 Wh. ePropulsion lists 8.5 hours with the standard charger and 3.5 hours with its fast charger. The motor accepts a compatible external battery through an additional cable; ePropulsion recommends its 48 V E-Series batteries. The removable pack should be stored dry at roughly 60 percent charge for long periods and recharged periodically according to the manufacturer's storage guidance.

Availability and Pricing

The Spirit 1.0 Plus remains part of ePropulsion's current Spirit range and is sold through regional dealers. Pricing varies by market, shaft length and charger package. Buyers should distinguish the Plus from the Spirit 1.0 Evo, which adds sailing-oriented functions such as hydrogeneration and uses different controls and tilt specifications.
