About the SiFly Rider+

The Rider+ is SiFly's high-volume soft-top board for learning and shared use. At 171 by 72 cm and 130 litres, it offers more flotation and a broader platform than the 110-litre Rider, which helps with kneeling starts and low-speed balance. Its EPP foam exterior absorbs knocks and provides a softer contact surface, while an aluminium structure keeps the board and mast connection rigid. SiFly recommends the model for beginners and also targets schools, yacht charters and watersports centres that value durability. A complete set includes the Rider+ board, 75 cm V3 hydrofoil unit, PowerCell LR, remote, chargers and the selected wing set. The maker explains that the battery compartment itself is not sealed; the battery and hydrofoil are watertight components, and some water around them is considered normal. Regular rinsing, drying and inspection still matter.

Performance in Context

SiFly publishes a 40-140 kg rider range and recommends larger Cruiser wings for early learning. The old 25 mph number is not stated on the current Rider+ page, so it has been removed. The broad board trades some compact-board agility for easier starts and more forgiving touchdowns.

Battery and Charging

The set uses a 44.8 Ah, 58.8 V PowerCell LR. SiFly claims up to 120 minutes and 30 km, based on an estimated 75 kg rider using a Cruiser 1900 wing, open propeller and about 15 km/h. Higher speed, a smaller wing, heavier load, cold water or repeated starts will reduce that figure.
