About the Storm 300+

The Storm 300+ is Evoy's high-output electric outboard for fast boats that would otherwise use several hundred horsepower of combustion power. Evoy lists 225 kW nominal output, 450 kW peak output, 550 Nm of torque and a 385 kg motor weight. The company recommends single installations on boats from roughly 25 to 35 feet and twin installations from 30 to 40 feet. This is an integrated 800 V propulsion system rather than an outboard purchased independently: batteries, cooling, controls, charging hardware, display and software management are part of the engineering package. Evoy's E-Brain platform records trips, monitors propulsion and battery status, manages charging and supports remote diagnostics and software updates. The power figures make the Storm relevant to planing leisure craft and commercial boats, but battery mass, cooling and high-voltage installation require more design work than a conventional repower.

Performance in Context

Evoy describes typical range across its outboard systems as 20 to 25 nautical miles while running between 20 and 35 knots, extending to roughly 40 to 60 nautical miles at five knots. Those are broad system figures rather than a Storm guarantee. Motor size, battery capacity, hull efficiency, load, wind and current all matter. The Storm's 450 kW figure is short-term peak power; 225 kW is the nominal rating to use for sustained-performance comparisons.

Battery and Charging

Evoy offers liquid-cooled, IP67 battery configurations of 63, 126 and 189 kWh. The Storm includes a 20 kW AC charging system, with higher AC capacity available in some configurations, and supports DC fast charging up to 200 kW subject to the battery's continuous charge limit. Evoy cites about 45 minutes for a 10-to-80-percent DC charge under suitable conditions. Site power, battery temperature and pack selection will affect the actual result.

Evoy accepts orders and pre-orders through its partner network and configurator, with regional support expanding market by market. Pricing is configuration-specific. A quotation should state usable battery energy, charger capacity, display and control equipment, cooling, installation scope, commissioning and documented performance for the intended hull.
